Etch A Sketch, the drawing toy which for over 40 years has delighted young and old alike, is now available on your cell phone.

Key Features
  • The sketching stylus can be controlled using either the numerical keypad or arrow keys
  • Up to three separate sketches can be stored in the handset's memory
  • Pressing the erase button causes the phone to vibrate as the sketch disappears, simulating the shaking action required to erase a drawing on the traditional Etch A Sketch

How to Play

To sketch, use the arrow keys on the phone or the following numeric keys:
1 – Left Diagonal Up
2 – Up
3 – Right Diagonal Up
4 – Left
5 – (no function)
6 – Right
7 – Left Diagonal Down
8 – Down
9 – Right Diagonal Down
0 – Undo (undoes last pixel drawn)
CLR – Erase the screen

Main Menu options:

  • New Sketch – clears the current sketch (if the current sketch has not been saved, you will be asked if you wish to save the current sketch)
  • Resume Sketch – if there is a sketch on the screen, this menu item will take you back to the sketch screen. If there is not a sketch on the sketch screen, this menu item does not appear
  • Save Sketch – will prompt you for a filename and will save the sketch to the file system handset
  • Sketch Folder – this is where stored sketches can be loaded and deleted, and where the credits screen is located
  • Help – goes to the help screen
  • Exit – quits the application (if the current sketch has not been saved, you will be asked if you wish to save the current sketch)

Options:

  • Load Sketch – loads sketches that are currently stored on the handset.
  • Delete Sketch – deletes sketches stored on the handset.
